Learning at ONPS

Working with our community, at Old Noarlunga Primary School, we support every student to develop as a respectful, resilient and collaborative learner.

We strive to be:

Inclusive: valuing and celebrating diversity in our community and encouraging participation by all in a safe and caring learning environment.

Academically rigorous: engaging and challenging all students to achieve through consistent and proven approaches to teaching and learning.

Connected to community: creating opportunities for students to build positive relationships and contribute to the school and the local community and ensuring clear and open communication between school and home.

At Old Noarlunga Primary School, we offer a rigorous program that targets learning to each child’s areas of need. Our context as a small community school means that we are able to readily monitor and track every student’s growth and wellbeing and connect learning to our local community and landscape. We use a range of best practice learning programs and methods to support every student to strive for success. Learning is supported by access to a range of technologies. In Reception to Year 2 classes, all students access iPads to support the learning program, while from Year 3-6, students have 1:1 access to Chromebooks.
