Enrolment of children living in shared care arrangements.
Generally when parents/guardians are separated the child or young person will attend a school close to the residence of the parent who has the majority of their day to day care. The school requires supporting documentation of their child’s living arrangements prior to confirming enrolment eg. Court orders, Centrelink documentation etc.
Documentation
Before we can offer you a position at our school, parents/guardians must provide the following documentation:
- The child’s official birth certificate or extract
- A passport, or travel document such as a visa, citizenship certificate of ImmiCard
- Centrelink or other official government documentation stating the child’s name and birth date
- Proof of location of primary residence – a copy of the contract of sale for the property (or a recent council rates notice) and a recent gas or electricity bill for that property
- A contract of sale/council rates on its own is not sufficient documentation.
- If renting, a rental agreement that covers the first 12 months at the school and a bond receipt lodged with Consumer and Business Services and a recent gas or electricity bill for that property
- The renting of a room or rooms does not constitute a primary place of residence. Families must rent an entire property
- If a parent/guardian is claiming the child lives with a relative or friend, the school may request the parent/guardian provides evidence that the relative/friend is the child or young person’s legal guardian, by way of parenting order from the family court, unless the principal has determined that the child meets the requirements for an informal relative carer.

We conduct Principal’s Tours on several occasions during the school year. At this stage due to being at capacity we are only conducting tours for families who are eligible to enrol. Please contact the school on 8386 2093 to obtain information about our Principal’s tours.
