Welcome to Old Noarlunga Primary School.
Old Noarlunga Primary School is an outer metropolitan, small Reception to Year 7 school located in the Southern Adelaide Region. It is located in a picturesque, semi-rural area, bounded by the Onkaparinga River and foothills, conveniently located near modern facilities and amenities. The school has a long heritage, having celebrated 150 years of Public Education in 2009. The school has a strong sense of family and community, reflected in its motto, ‘Small School, Big Heart’. Teaching and support staff develop strong, trusting relationships with every student, parent and caregiver within the school. Students across all year levels also have regular contact with each other forming close bonds.
Our fundamental goal is to ensure that all our students become independent, lifelong learners and productive, well-informed citizens. We ensure that there is a positive learning environment where our students engage in rich and rigorous learning in each of the areas of the curriculum, and in doing so develop highly effective literacy and numeracy skills.
During their time at school our students will become powerful learners; they will develop resilience (be ready, willing and able to lock on to learning), develop resourcefulness (be ready, willing and able to learn in different ways), develop reflectiveness (be ready, willing and able to become more strategic about learning) and develop reciprocity (be ready, willing and able to learn independently and in collaboration with others).
In order to help students flourish in this learning community, I encourage all families to be part of their children's learning experiences. Through the collaboration of teachers, staff, students, and families, our goal can be realized.
We look forward to working with you and your children.
